In this episode, we talk to Ulrich Kelber about politics, data protection, and digital responsibility. He was active in the Bundestag for the SPD for almost 20 years and, as Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, was one of the leading voices in this field. Together, we discuss controversial topics such as data retention and whether it really contributes to the protection of children, as well as the often hotly debated question of whether data protection inhibits innovation. We also take a critical look at electronic patient records: how do they work and what opportunities and risks do they hold for us all? And don’t forget: Ulrich’s tip on how you can better protect your data online.
